  • Legal Basis: The Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act. The Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Regulations, 2016.
  • <ul><li>Evidence that the necessary notifications have been made pursuant to the Act and that approvals from other Government Agencies / stakeholders have been suitably obtained i.e.</li><ul><li>Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE)</li><li>National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)</li><li>Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)</li><li>Applicable local government authorities</li><li>Applicable Land owners</li></ul><li>Particulars of any agreements entered into or proposed to be entered, by the applicant for the easements over the lands shown in the pipeline route.</li><li>Any agreements entered into, by the applicant for or in relation to the supply or conveyance of resource by means of the proposed pipeline.</li><li>Attach any other documentation that the applicant wishes the minister to consider (if any).</li></ul><div align="left"><b>Note:</b> <br></div><div align="left"><ul><li>For alterations or substantial modifications of any pipeline or any of the units in the pipeline or change in the normal use of the pipeline or any unit of the pipeline, the licensee shall apply to the Minister for approval and the application shall be in Form 5 and accompanied by a fee prescribed.</li><li>For renewal of a facility license, an application shall be made to the Minister in form 8 and attach the following;</li><ul><li>A copy of the current license together with the previously approved plans and specifications of the facility.</li><li>A certificate of facility testing to ensure it is safe and fit for purpose.</li><li>A certificate of safety stating that the facility has been tested and is safe for operation; and</li><li>Evidence of payment of the fee prescribed.<br></li></ul></ul></div>
