Legal Basis: The Engineers Registration Act. Cap 271
- He or she intends to be resident in Uganda in the capacity of a professionally qualified engineer for the express purpose of carrying out specific work or works for which he or she has been engaged.
- He or she is not ordinarily resident in Uganda.
- He or she should become a member of the institution within 2 months of
his or her arrival in Uganda, and shall register within 4 months of his
or her arrival in Uganda.
- Immediately prior to entering Uganda was, in practice as an engineer in
such a capacity as to satisfy the board of his or her fitness to serve
the public as a professionally qualified engineer.
- Should produce documentary evidence of his or her work or employment immediately prior his or her entering Uganda.
